A hidden leak can cost you thousands before you even see it
Most homeowners find out they have a leak the hard way: a water bill that doubled, a warm spot on the floor that was not there before, or mold growing behind a wall. We use electronic and acoustic detection equipment to pinpoint leaks without tearing into walls or jackhammering floors. Once we know where the leak is, we can talk about the best way to fix it.
What we detect and repair
- Slab leak detection & repair
- Pinhole leak detection in copper pipes
- Hidden pipe leaks behind walls and under floors
- Electronic leak detection
- Acoustic leak detection
- Pool & spa leak detection
- Copper pipe corrosion assessment
Signs you might have a hidden leak
- Water bill jumped and nothing obvious changed
- You can hear water running when every faucet is off
- Warm or hot spots on the floor (classic slab leak sign)
- Wet or discolored patches on ceilings or walls
- Musty smell that could be mold
- Low water pressure throughout the house
What happens after we find the leak?
If the leak is in an accessible pipe, we repair it. If it is a slab leak, we discuss your options: spot repair through the slab, rerouting the pipe overhead, or a full copper repipe if the corrosion is widespread. Older Pomona-area homes built in the 1950s through 1970s with original copper supply lines tend to develop pinhole leaks as the pipes corrode from the inside out. In those cases, a repipe is often less expensive than chasing one leak after another.
We also check whether the leak is on the supply side (pressurized water in) or the drain side (water out), since the repair approach is different. For drain-side issues that point to a broken pipe, our sewer line team can handle the repair.
