When your AC stops working in Pomona, you need it fixed today
Summer temperatures in the Pomona Valley regularly hit 100°F+. A broken air conditioner is not just uncomfortable, it can be a health risk for older adults, kids, and pets. We have been fixing ACs in this area since 1966, and our trucks are stocked with the parts to handle the most common failures on the spot.
We show up on time, tell you what is wrong, give you the price, and let you decide. No pressure, no upsell on parts you do not need. If the repair does not make financial sense, we will tell you that too.
AC problems we fix every week
After 58 years of service calls in the Pomona area, we have seen just about everything. Here are the issues that keep our phones ringing, especially from May through October:
- AC blowing warm or lukewarm air
- System turns on and off repeatedly (short cycling)
- AC will not turn on at all
- Unusual noises: grinding, squealing, clicking, or banging
- Frozen evaporator coil or ice on the refrigerant line
- Water leaking from the indoor unit
- High electric bills without a clear reason
- Uneven cooling between rooms
- Thermostat is on but nothing happens
What we actually do during an AC repair visit
We are not going to show up and immediately try to sell you a new system. Here is what a typical service call looks like:
- We check the thermostat settings and electrical connections first, because sometimes the fix is that simple.
- We inspect the air filter, condenser coils, and refrigerant levels.
- If we find the problem, we tell you exactly what failed and what the repair costs before we touch anything.
- Most repairs are done in one visit. Our trucks carry capacitors, contactors, fan motors, thermostats, and refrigerant.
- We test the system after the repair and make sure the temperature drop across the coil is where it should be.
Brands we repair
We work on all major brands: Carrier, Lennox, Trane, Bryant, Goodman, Daikin, Rheem, York, Amana, and more. We also service older units that other companies might not want to touch. If the compressor and condenser are still in reasonable shape, we can usually keep it running.
When repair does not make sense
We are honest about this. If your unit is 15+ years old and the repair costs more than half of what a new system would run, replacement is usually the smarter move. We offer AC installation with financing options if you decide to go that route. But we will never push you there if a $300 repair will get you another 3 to 5 years out of your current system.
Related services
AC issues sometimes point to other problems. A unit that keeps freezing up could have a clogged condensate drain. Short cycling sometimes traces back to electrical or gas line issues. And if your AC is working fine but one room is still hot, the problem might be ductwork, not the unit itself. We handle all HVAC services and can figure out where the real problem is.
